#DAY1:SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN
"CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS"
Swach Bharat
Abhiyan is a Swach Bharat mission led by the government of India to make India
a clean India. This campaign was launched officially by the government of India
on 145th birthday anniversary of the great person, Mahatma Gandhi on
2nd of October, 2014. It was launched at the Rajghat, New Delhi (cremation
of Mahatma Gandhi). The government of India has aimed to make India a clean
India by 2nd of October 2019 (means 150th birth anniversary of the
Mahatma Gandhi) through this campaign.
It was on
the same day that CLEAN INDIA CAMPAIGN was also kickstarted.
it was one
of the initiatives of the Indian government under the minister Arun Jaitley
that the mission of Clean India and Green India saw its emergence. On 2nd
October the calendar with the theme of Clean India and Green India was launched
by the minister Arun Jaitley. The mission of Clean and Green India was launched
among the other two initiatives of the Government which is Swach Bharat Abhiyan
and Digital India. in the calendar, the very first page contains a photograph
of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is standing with a broom in his hand to
clean.
The
combination of clean India and green India makes the ideal and developing
significance of India. The mission also helps in decreasing Global Warming.
After the inauguration of this mission, there have been immense steps taken by
the government and the people of India to make India clean and green.
Swach Bharat
Abhiyan set a lot of objectives to achieve so that India could become cleaner
and better. In addition, it not only appealed the sweepers and workers but all
the citizens of the country. This helped in making the message reach wider. It
aims to build sanitary facilities for all households. One of the most common
problems in rural areas is that of open defecation. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims to eliminate that.
This
campaign witnessed almost all the celebrities ,say Sachin Tendukar , Aamir
Khan, Priyanka Chopra etc
Why India Needs Swachh Bharat Abhiyan?
India is in dire need of a cleanliness drive like Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan to eradicate dirtiness. It is important for the overall
development of citizens in terms of health and well-being.
Generally, in these areas, people do not have proper
toilet facilities. They go out in the fields or roads to excrete. This practice
creates a lot of hygiene problems for citizens. Therefore, this Clean India
mission can be of great help in enhancing the living conditions of these
people.
When
we will dispose of waste properly and recycle waste, it will develop the
country. As its main focus is one rural area, the quality of life of the rural
citizens will be enhanced through it.
Most
importantly, it enhances the public health through its objectives. India is one
of the dirtiest countries in the world, and this mission can change the
scenario. Therefore, India needs a cleanliness drive like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
to achieve this.
In
short, Swach Bharat Abhiyan is a great start to make India cleaner and greener.
If all the citizens could come together and participate in this drive, India
will soon flourish. Moreover, when the hygienic conditions of India will
improve, all of us will benefit equally. India will have more tourists visiting
it every year and will create a happy and clean environment for the citizens.
It is a
politics free campaign and inspired by the patriotism. It is launched as a
responsibility of the each and every Indian citizen to make this country a
Swachh country. This campaign has initiated people globally towards the
cleanliness. Teachers and students of the school are joining this “Clean India
Campaign” very actively with great fervour and joy. Under this campaign,
another cleanliness initiative has been started by the UP CM, Yogi Adityanath
in March 2017. He has banned chewing paan, gutka and other tobacco products in
the government offices all over UP.
